Khao Rang Hill View Point, Phuket

Khao Rang Hill Tower and a panoramic terrace was built in 2014. That is a viewpoint status of the summit, with featuring a nicely landscaped park. Beside the view, is also has a children’s playground, a fitness park, three restaurants and bars. The place is attractive and offers its visitors a breath of fresh air in the capital of Phuket Island. Phuket is quite a hilly place, its highest point being 500 metres up and many of the hilltops being accessible.

That is a good time to catch a Phuket sunset, you can having a dining up here in the evening. The views of the town’s twinkling lights is a beautiful screen. However, if you wish to avoid the crowds it’s best to visit Rang Hill in the quieter early morning hours. At that time you’ll have a better chance to see the hill’s resident macaque monkeys, a troupe of which venture out of the jungle periodically in search of food. They’re sneaky little thieving creatures, though, who can be aggressive. Keep your belongings close and watch that they don’t snatch away your food.

It is an ideal spot to have an overview of how the entire Phuket Town looks like. Moreover, it’s a great place to have some clicks and enjoy the local cuisine at the restaurant here. You can view the far flung islands as well as mountains bordering the town. Besides being a popular attraction, it also acts as a picnic spot for the locals who usually come here in large numbers. One of the most enchanting views is the one in the evening when the entire town of Phuket stays illuminated.

On the way up to the summit on this approach lies a slightly overrun (but usable) exercise park where students like to gather after classes. From the southern Mae Luan approach, Soi Chimbi passes a small Thai Temple with a white Chedi on the right, and a Chinese temple on the left.
