Waterfall – Phuket Natural Water Flow

Waterfall in Phuket is a conservation area surrounding with the lush green forest. You need to do a bit hiking on these, however, it’s worth for the natural splendour. You don’t need to worry about how to get up there, most of the way up comprises stairs. Even on the hot sunny day, that is shaded by the tree, so anytime you can stop to take a rest. Waterfall always have an unlimited water flow from above the hill, I have no idea why the water is not finished. Even in the hot season, less raining, but the water still non-stop flowing, is impressive.

The water flow downward spiral, go through the stone, after hundred years of friction, the sharp rock becomes slick, some area even become a small pool. And also it appears full of energy here, make the miracle of nature. Phuket doesn’t have hundreds feet of water free falling perpendicularly into a massive pool. All the waterfalls here are just a series of cascades through the jungle.

Phuket has a few waterfalls, that is Tonsai Waterfall, Bang Pae Waterfall and Kathu Waterfall. The photo of this post was taken around Kathu Waterfall and Bang Pae Waterfall. On the weekend, have many local people gathering and picnic here. Listen to the sound of the water flow, like a seductive song, you can relax and temporarily put down all your stressful.

I realise that the end of waterfall always contains some lake, the water will outflow there first before go to the river. The lake shore always builds with a house, the seductive landscape makes me non-stop pressing the camera shutter. The surface of the lake has been an ever-present mirror for reflection the detail of the gorgeous landscape. Even though that, the people are scarce here, only me aloft my camera for this lake reflection.

Lake reflection is one of the favour subject for the photography, it can provide reflection of the landscape or some object. When windless, the surface of the water just looks like a big mirror, upside down image. Mostly of the photographer love to take the reflection photo, combine the shadow image, make the photo remarkable.

Ripple always will disperse the shadow image, so that I use the Nisi ND1000 filter to take long exposures. The purpose of the ND filter is to reduce the light go through the lens, so we can slow down the shuttle speed. This will make the water look freeze, and the reflection of the small house will be more clear.
